- Mr. Udayakantha Warnasooriya
When I was in need of a novice for my new film, Roshan’s profile was forwarded to me by his mother. His profile matched with what was in my mind and I decided to offer him the role.
At this point I was only concerned about his looks rather than his capability on performing. So much so Roshan did perform well and true, which led him to win the hearts of people.
Roshan was always well mannered and behaved. He possessed the qualities of being friendly, humble and was able to get on with any person for that matter.
Roshan is an actor with commitment and dedication and a man who respects elders while being humble enough to take constructive advice from his superiors.
All in all, I would like to describe Roshan Ranawana in three phrases as keys to his success.

I consider myself VERY LUCKY to have found a very good friend in Roshan.... He is not just a beautiful human being on the outside, i would like to say he is even better from the inside... When i met him on the sets of AMPB, I jumped to conclusions... thought that this good looking boy must be proud and would be very difficult to work with... But my character analysis went for a complete toss when i realised that he was just the opposite, ( of course the good looking stayed ;0)))))) he is humble, sincere, hardworking, he has a kind heart , always open to changing for the better, ever helpful, and most of all TERRA FERMA... He has a good head over that shoulder of his and i found it extremely easy to work with him... Our chemistry clicked on screen and i guess the audience accepted it and rest is history...... It takes an immense amount of character to be like Roshan. His heart is pure and so i sit here writing this about Roshan just so that the rest of the world can know that he is a gem of a person and may he touch many more lives the way he has mine. God bless him in all his endevours and may he be a blessing to all those around him.
Loads and loads of LOVE, LUCK, HAPPINESS, HEALTH and WEALTH.
A friend always,
Pooja ;0)

Roshan Ranawana filled the gap in the Sinhala cinema that lacked a well groomed personality after the era of some veteran actors like Jeewan Kumaranatunga and Ranjan Ramanayake.
From Roshan’s first take- in action I have been the lyricist to all his film songs and his own songs up to now.
I see him as a talented youth both in acting and singing.

Roshan played the role of a vice king in “Mahindagamanaya” with much dedication and commitment.
He is a person that would live in the character he is posing for, which makes things easier for the director.
Roshan works well with his seniors and has a good relationship with them.
Roshan does not get his characters mixed up and he makes sure he’s performance is at utmost satisfaction of the director.

Best Wishes to Roshan Ranawana - from Ms Dushy Parakrama
I was a member of Staff when Roshan joined Asian International School for his A'Levels. He stood out among the sea of faces that belonged to a new generation of young and ambitious adolescents - not only because he was tall and handsome, but because he wore his good looks with easy charm and grace. This was Roshan's greatest asset - he was quiet and gentle, unassuming and affectionate.
He worked closely with me on a number of Interact Club projects and I was impressed by his commitment in helping those less fortunate than himself. At one of our fund-raising theatrical performances, he took the part of a Peacock in an impressively choreographed Eastern dance - and needless to say the audience was electrified. This is what prompted me to encourage him to join a 'fashion show' at a prestigious event that was being organised by a friend. And that, as they say, was the beginning of what is now an astoundingly successful career.
Roshan deserves all the accolades being thrust upon him. Not only did he take every opportunity to make the best of what came his way, but he worked hard towards bettering and perfecting every role he tried out. Sure, he's got loads of talent - but he has faced every challenge with focus and commitment, be it drama, modelling, body-building, acting, dancing or singing. And I'm happy to see that even today, after all that he has achieved in his young years, he remains the sweet and unspoiled boy who once told me, "I have no idea what I want to do when I leave school"!
I am proud to have been his mentor, and I wish him continued success and God's choicest blessings in all his endeavours.
